Queenie's Joy is in every way a part of who I am. Who am I?
I am Queenie!
Queenie's Joy
is a collection of all the activities I love to make and do, my diverse
collection of friends (who inspire me) and my multitude of family.
Queenie's Joy began in the summer of 2011 as a college graduation gift from my husband to
myself. It blossomed into an awesome place that was relaxing but yet very
productive. In November of 2012 a fire destroyed the building. But even though the building was gone Queenie's Joy had already emerged and is still in me.
"Queenie's Joy" stands for myself "Queenie" and all of my "Joys". From the
amazing people around me to the diverse types of projects I design.
The building itself now rebuilt houses "mother-in-law" quarters for my mother who now lives with us on our farm. My space is a small area in the farm house that is mine to work with. I have left several of my interests behind as I have grown and aged and added many new ones.
I live on a 25 acre farm where we have many different animals roaming. This farm gives a wonderful place for my children and grandchildren to roam, explore and have tons of fun. I substitute teach at our local public school. I'm always looking for something new and interesting to do. People and things come and go in and out of our lives frequently enriching or lives hopefully for the better. I find myself growing and changing daily by what life gives me to experience that day.
I have always wanted to have a web site to give some of the endless experiences and pass on some of the lessons, tips and tricks that I have learned throughout my years. Hopefully you will find something within the site that you can take with you and even pass on to others.
I am beginning to find areas for me to work with this site. I find that there is no one subject to dedicate a web site I develop. So, I am going to go with several different topics of interest for now. You will be finding new pages added routinely and possibly some deleted as I find that they have no major use.
